Where to begin?
When your Inn Style account built if you selected how many rooms were at your property, this will have created the rooms within the accommodation area. You now need to edit these rooms and add your descriptions to them. To do this you need to click on the Accommodation tab in the black bar. For the purpose of this guide we will refer to everything as a room, but this could be a cottage, shepherds hut, camping pitch etc.
Click the green Edit Room button.
Click the drop down under Basics to select the type of bookable you're looking for. It defaults to It's a Room but you can change this to cottage, apartment etc.
Give your room a name e.g. Room One, Deluxe Room,
If you have multiple units of this, i.e 20 camping pitches or 5 Twin rooms which are identical just enter a number to tell us how many. More information on multiple units can be found here.
Once you've told us now many you can give them name or number them. These will then show on your dashboard.
Then add a short and a long description.
Specify the max occupancy that the room can hold e.g. a Family Suite might allow up to maximum of five people.
Next, let us know how many adults, children and infants you can accommodate within that number e.g. the Family Suite might accept up to three adults, up to four children and up to one infant. Adding this will allow guests booking to select any combination of adults, children & infants entered here but will never allow more than 5 to be booked. If your room accepts dogs, find out how to add them here
Keep active and visible in your calendar ticked
Add any additional information which is specific to this room which you'd like included on any emails sent to the guests but don't necessarily want to include in the description.
If you want to use Contactless check in you can use any instructions about what the guests need to do on arrival here. Please note you won't see this box unless contactless check in is activated. See here on how to activate contactless check in
Unique Address - This is more applicable if you are setting up a cottage for example and the address is different to the address in your communication settings, you can add the cottage's address in this area just tick the box and the address fields will appear. You can also plot your What 3 Words location here too once it's installed via Account > Extensions
Lastly, select the photo gallery you want to associate with this bookable. (Don't worry if you haven't yet created one – this can be done later).
Click Save accommodation.
Here's a completed example:
Repeat this process until you’ve edited all your bookables.
If you've got rooms which can be set up as either a double or a twin, then you can add booking questions so that guests can select the room set up as they go through the booking journey.
Once you’ve added your accommodation, head to the Prices tab to set up your rates and rules.
You can add more bookable units to your account at any time from within the Accommodation tab. (A bookable unit is anything that a guest can book: e.g. a room, tipi, holiday cottage, apartment, yurt, or caravan).
Top tip: If your property is dog-friendly, you’ll need to specify your pet policy in Account > Policies before you can add the number of dogs you allow. Once you've created the pet policy, an extra field will appear next to Adults / Children / Infants.
