The Guest Experience area found in Account is where you can begin to customise the booking engine to suit the needs of your property.

Instant confirmation

By default the booking engine is set to so bookings made online are confirmed instantly. By unticking this box it sets the booking up as a pending booking which you can then either accept or decline. Find out how non instant bookings work here.

Postcode Finder

Postcode finder is switched on by default, however it's only applicable for guests who live in the UK.

It can be used on the online booking engine so guests can find their address by postcode when booking and it can be used when you manually add a booking to the system.

Layout for Guests

We have one piece of code that you can embed into your booking engine but with these settings it provides 3 different views of the booking engine.

By default you will see our enquiry view screen, but we also have calendar view - great for self catering properties where there are specific check in and check out days. The third view is year to view where you can see the whole years availability on one calendar page. Find out more about each layout here.

Guest Information

With this setting you can collect each of the guests first and last name at the time of booking. There are different options to be able to collect guest dates of birth and titles too if required.

The booking engine asks for children's ages as they go through the journey so the require child age setting is no longer necessary to tick. When ticked this adds another box to add child ages on the final page of the booking form.

Accommodation that is also available

If you are using calendar view for your online bookings and you have cottages for example you may want guests to follow the booking process for that cottage and not get distracted by other cottages which are also available on the same dates.

By ticking the hide also available button this will hide other availability once one has been selected.

Telephone numbers for guests

As standard we show the "Phone Number for Guests to use" which is set up in Account > Communication on the calendar view on the website when guests are booking. If you don't wish to display a contact number then you can untick the box here.

Child Ages

Here you can define what ages you consider a child to be at your property.

You can set the minimum age (we default it to 3 years old) and anything under this is classified as an infant. If you don't accept infants at your property (you can set this in Account > Policies) then the minimum child age here will be set as the lowest age a guest can pick.

You can also set the maximum child age (we default it to 17 years old).

If you have child prices set, children added between these ages will be charged the child price.

Guest Login

By default we enable a guest login so your guests can go online and manage their reservation. You can find out more about the Manage Reservation area here.

If you don't want guests to login you can tick the box here.

You can also set up Contactless check in and check out by ticking the boxes. Check out the links for more information on these features.

Booking Allocations

Applicable to those properties who have multiple units of the same room or pitch. If you allocate these prior to arrival you can include the actual name or number within the confirmation email by ticking this box.

Marketing Permissions

Here you can opt to show marketing permissions on the booking engine. If you leave this unticked you can follow the legitimate interest route. If you choose to show the marketing permissions you can then export this information in customer csv reports and the reservations report. You can find out more about GDPR here.

External Stylesheet

You can add a Cascading Style Sheet here to change elements of the booking journey. Please note this doesn't come without risk. Our platform is in constant development and that means that some things may break without warning, and we cannot guarantee that the structure of our HTML will be forever the same.

Additional Content in emails

You can additional text to our standard Reservation confirmations and Reservation Cancellations. Please note this will not show on customised emails.

Statement Text

We have some standard text populated in this box which shows at the bottom of the PDF on all statements "Thank you for staying with us. We hope to see you again soon." You can amend this here to whatever you want to say to your guests.

You can also add your logo (which is added in Account > Presentation) to the statements by ticking the box.

Registration Form Details

You can print registration forms for your guests on arrival and you can add additional information to those forms here.

Your logo is added as a default but if you don't want this to show, you need to untick the box here.

Custom Confirmation Redirect Url

You can use this if you don't want to show your guests our standard confirmation page and you'd like them to be redirected to your website. Perhaps to book a table for dinner or to upsell excursions for example. See more about redirects here.

Please Note: Don't forget to save any changes you make on this page by pressing the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
