Inn Style’s Hubspot integration is an excellent advancement for customers wanting to better utilise CRM capabilities and enhanced email campaigns to their guests past, present and future.

HubSpot is a powerful all-in-one marketing, sales, and service platform that helps businesses attract, engage, and delight customers. Its benefits include robust CRM capabilities, seamless integration of marketing and sales tools, customizable automation, insightful analytics, and exceptional customer support, driving growth and fostering lasting customer relationships.

To enable Hubspot, you will need an account with them so ensure you have this setup prior to installing the extension. This basic extension will automatically create a new contact in your Hubspot account when you receive a new confirmed reservation.

How do you set this up?

  1. Go to your Extensions and install Hubspot under the Guest Engagement section.

  2. This will open your settings for Hubspot within the Inn Style app. You will not be able to configure this as “active” until you have completed the steps on your Hubspot account.

  3. Open your Hubspot account and navigate to the settings in the top right of your account page. Within this section you will need to select from the sidebar Account Setup > Integrations > Private Apps. Click on “Create a Private App”.

  4. Firstly, name your integration - we recommend using Inn_Style or similar so that it’s clear for future reference.

  5. Secondly you’ll need to select the CRM scopes associated with this integration as outlined in the below screenshot. The selected Scopes will be:

    crm.lists.write

    crm.objects.companies.write

    Crm.objects.contacts.write

    crm.objects.deals.write

    crm.objects.custom.write

    crm.objects.contacts.read

    crm.objects.line_items.write

    crm.objects.marketing_events.write

    crm.objects.users.write

    crm.schemas.companies.write

    crm.schemas.contacts.write

    crm.schemas.custom.write

    crm.schemas.deals.write

    crm.schemas.contacts.read

  6. Click on the “Create App” button and then “Continue Creating” on the next popup.

  7. This will provide you with the key you’ll need to input into your Inn Style settings for Hubspot. Copy this at this point and navigate to the settings of the extension as before.

  8. Now you can paste the API key into the settings, leave the mode as “basic” and select how you wish customers to be tagged in Hubspot. Click “Save”, turn from inactive to active, then save again.

  9. From the point of making the integration active, all new reservations will port the Name, Email Address and Phone Number of the booker into your Hubspot CRM. These can then be found under the “Contacts” tab.

  10. You can send a test reservation to ensure the information is pulling through correctly, this will use your most recently confirmed reservation. To manually trigger any past reservations you can do so from within the reservation. Simply open the reservation and click on the “Add To Hubspot” button.

  11. Within Hubspot, the contacts will show as below. Note that the data is once off and one-way only so if changes are made to the details, you’ll have to resend to Hubspot and manage the contacts within your Hubspot account.
