Giving your Housekeepers access to Inn Style

Our housekeeping dashboard gives your staff all they need to know about todays arrivals, departures and stopovers.

Our housekeeping user functionality means you can add a Housekeeping user to your Inn Style account. Once they are set up they will receive the house keeping daily PDF emails and be able to log into a dashboard to show them all the days activity.

To get started you need to enable housekeeping by going to Account > Extensions > Housekeeping. Then you need to add a user.

  1. Go to Owner > Users in the top right hand corner

  2. You will now be on a page which says Manage your team from here click on the view roles button and then press add new role.

  3. Now you will have a pop out drawer appear. It will ask you to give the role a name I've called it Housekeeping and then in the authority level you need to pick Restricted.

  4. Create the role. You should now be returned to the Roles table and you will be able to see your newly created role. Please note, if you already have lots of roles set up you may need to scroll along the table to see it.

  5. The restricted role doesn't have any permissions attached to it when created, so if you want your Housekeepers just to have access to the Housekeeping Dashboard then you need to select Housekeeping Dashboard from the list like this.

  6. That's your role created. Now we need to assign the users to this role. To do this click on Manage users above the Roles

  7. You will now see the Manage Your Team table and you need to select Add New User here.

  8. The drawer will slide out and here you can add a team member to the new role you created. In the example above the new role was called Housekeeping so this is what you would select from the list.

  9. Your new user will now receive an email asking them to set up a password.

  10. Once they've logged in they will be able to see your main dashboard which will give them an indication of how busy you are, but they won't be able to interact with it unless you have set up some other permissions for them.

  11. They will then be able to click on the Housekeeping dashboard which will show them how many departures, arrivals and stopovers you have for today or any given day in the future. They will be able to download the housekeeping PDF from here too.

  12. The main dashboard now shows dirty rooms when guests have checked out

  13. When a Housekeeper marks a room as clean the dirty icon will be removed from the main dashboard.

  14. In the settings area of Extensions you can add emails of additional users who you would like to receive the daily Housekeeping emails. If you don't add anyone here it will continue to just go to the Account contact email address the Account > Communication.

  15. Please note: Once you have Housekeeping activated the Housekeeping PDF will move from the Diary View to Housekeeping
