Send your guest an automated balance reminder to collect the remaining money due.

Inn Style can send your guests automated balance reminders in order to save you time.

There are a few steps you need to follow in order to get this setup.

Firstly go to Accommodation > Deposits

Set up your deposit in the usual way (see guide on how to do this here)

At the bottom of the screen you will see some Additional options. Tick the box which says last minute stays should always be paid in full.

Then in the Take full payment if guests books box put the number of days before you want the guest to pay. So for example if you have a cottage you may want this amount to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. If that's the case then you would add 56 days here and then save it.

Next go to Account > Notifications

Here you can set the number of days before arrival you'd like the balance reminder to be sent. So if you've set the balance to be due 56 days before in deposits you may want the letter to be sent a week before this to give the guests chance to pay in which case you would put 63 days in here.

You may also want to send a final payment follow up request a week after the payment was due if they haven't paid, in which case you would add 7 days after in this box.

You need to then tick the boxes and save the notifications in order for them to begin sending automatically.

We send a generic balance reminder out to your guests with a payment link however you can customise the email by going to Account > Customised Emails. There is the option to add different content for the payment request and the final follow up letters. More information on how to set up customised emails can be found here
