When you cancel a reservation this removes it from your dashboard and you will be able to view it in your reports and in the last 5 cancellations on your dashboard.
You can only delete a direct reservation if there are no payments attached. If you delete the reservation, this removes the reservation entirely from your Inn Style account. Therefore it won't appear in any of your reports and you won't be able to search for it or any guest details related to it.
If the reservation has a payment attached to it or it's an OTA (Booking.com, Expedia) reservation you are NOT able to delete it.
