Following on from the Government’s announcement last week about the reduction of VAT to 5% for the period 15th July 2020 to 31st March 2021, we’ve been working away behind the scenes to help make life easier for you….

Welcome to Tax Periods! - Now you can set a VAT reduced rate for a specific period of time. This means you can add the new reduced VAT period to your Standard VAT Rate and it will only charge this for stays within the period stated.

Simply go to the Accommodation Tab and then click on TAXES. If you already have the 20% VAT rate set up you can simply add the new Tax Period by clicking on + Add a Tax Period, then add the Start Date and End Date and the Percentage that the NEW RATE IS. ie 5 for the new Hospitality Temporary Rate.

If you sell different products at different rates of VAT please contact us about switching you over to itemised taxes as we now also have the ability to add optional extras at a different tax rate AND you can now add line items to the bill and apportion these to a correct tax bracket as well!
