In Restrictions you can set various parameters to restrict or enhance the booking window for guests, when booking online.
Take Bookings From
This section has two options, to take bookings from now for stays from now onwards or set a specific date.
If you aren't opening until December for example, you can add a specific date i.e 1st December. This will mean guests can book online from now but only for stays that commence after the 1st December.
Take Bookings until
In this area you can specify how far in advance you want guests to be able to book until. The default here is set at a rolling 365 days.
However you could choose 2 years, 6 months etc
You can also choose a specific date.
Please Note if you choose a specific date you must remember to change this once the date has passed otherwise no one will be able to book online.
Days Notice Required
This restricts guests from booking online x amount of days before arrival. This is good if you don't want guests booking and turning up today.
Please note that the 'DAYS NOTICE' restriction ONLY works for direct online reservations from your website. It DOES NOT restrict for OTA bookings who have their own restriction settings and must be set up direct with Booking.com or Expedia themselves.
Short Notice Display Options
Choose whether you want the booking engine to show please call when you have a days notice required in place or whether you just want to show the dates as unavailable.
Please Call option
Instead of the ability to book if you are using the calendar view it will display a tel symbol to the guest to call you, if they are using a mobile they will be able to press this and it will call your number.
If you are using Enquiry view the guests will see this message, populated with your telephone number which has been set in the Communication settings.
Unavailable option
Select inactive from the dropdown list
It will then display on the calendar like this as unavailable
And on enquiry view like this. Please note if you have the waiting list installed it will not show guests the waitlist form when there is a days notice required in place.

Occupancy Limit Across all Accommodation
This would be used if you have a maximum number of people you are allowed in the property or on the campsite at any one time. This would then prevent guests being able to book if you reached the total occupancy limit.
After adjusting any of the above settings, don't forget to press the Green Save these details button.
