2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) is a security process that requires users to provide two different forms of identification to access an account. This adds an extra layer of protection beyond just a password.

Common 2FA Methods:

  1. Something You Know – A password or PIN.

  2. Something You Have – A phone, authentication app, or security key. - W

  3. Something You Are – Biometric data like fingerprints or facial recognition.

Examples:

  • Entering a password + receiving a one-time code via SMS or an authentication app.

  • Logging in with a password + using a fingerprint scan.

2FA helps protect against unauthorized access, even if your password is stolen. Many services, like Google, Apple, and banks, strongly recommend enabling it.

So to use 2FA - please request this from team@innstyle.co.uk

Once you have been notified that this is activated on your account, please follow these steps:

In your Inn Style account, click on your email address in the top right hand corner and you will see your user login - click on the pencil icon by your Role

You will see a new Screen, add your current password and click on CONFIRM AND ENABLE 2FA

You will then see this page below - simply open up your Authenticator App and click on + and scan the QR code, you will then get a 6 digit number to put in box 3.

Once this is done you will see on screen (please save a copy somewhere safe) of this confirmation screen and backup codes.

You have now completed the 2FA process!

Next time you go to log in, you will need your password and your authenticator app to do so - Making your system access even more secure!

It will become compulsory to have 2FA at some stage, so worth setting up now!
