The No Check In and No Check Out rules allow you to specify the days that you don't want your guests to check in or out.

Check in/out rules can be used alone or in conjunction with each other to create dedicated changeover days.

No Check In
Guests will not be able to check in on the specified dates (although they can still check out or stay over). For example, a No Check In rule on a Monday indicates that guests can check in on every day of the week except Monday. No Check In rules only apply to the rate type they are applied to, so they must be applied to all rate types to ensure no check in on a specific date.

No Check Out
Guests will not be able to check out on the specified dates, (although they can still check in or stay over). For example, a No Check Out rule on a Monday indicates that guests that stay on a Sunday night must stay can only check out on Tuesday morning or later. No Check Out rules only apply to the rate type they are applied to, so they must be applied to all rate types to ensure no check out on a specific date.

To remove a No Check In or No Check Out rule, simply choose Check In Ok or Check Out Ok from the drop down option on the right hand side.

Do you have specific arrival and departure days?

Let's use the following example:

Let’s imagine your changeover days are Monday and Friday. Guests can stay from Monday until Friday, or for a week. Guests can also stay from Friday to Monday, or for a week.

To get this working for guests, it’s not Monday and Friday we need to do something with – it’s the other days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

To the Price Updater!

Go to Prices in your main menu, then to the Price Update tab, and click New Price Update.

  • Choose No Check In from the dropdown.

  • Add your rooms.

  • Add your Rate Types.

  • Select your date range.

  • Specify the days that are not changeover days (i.e. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday).

  • Click Set Prices.

It should look something like this:

Then follow the same steps again, but use the No Check Out rule instead.

How does that look to prospective customers?

Guests will now only be able to book by clicking on one of your arrival days – Monday or Friday.

And when the customer clicks one of those dates?

They only see the dates that are available in line with the rules you've applied.
